Ogrodzieniec Amusement Park

Right below Ogrodzieniec Castle in Podzamcze, in the heart of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, operates Park Ogrodzieniec — a family entertainment complex opened in 2014, of which the Amusement Park is a part. The goal is clear: the youngest visitors should find something to do for a whole day, while parents save nerves and money with combined tickets.

For the youngest

The core of the park is funfair classics in a preschool version. The Viennese carousel has a bench inside for adults, so even a three-year-old can take a ride, and next door wait an inflatable royal castle, smaller bouncers, slides and swings. On hot days, ice cream from the park kiosk provides relief.

The wider Park Ogrodzieniec complex

The Amusement Park is only one element of the site. On the hill above Podzamcze rise the ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle, one of the best-known strongholds of the Trail of the Eagles' Nests, and at its foot you will also find the Miniature Park with castle models, the Physics Experience Park, a year-round sledding slope and the House of Legends and Fears — the last one better for older visitors, as younger children tend to get frightened. The Błędów Desert and Rabsztyn Castle lie within a dozen or so kilometres, so the stay is easy to stretch over several days.

Practical information

The entrance is at Zamkowa Street in Podzamcze. In season the park usually runs from 10:00 to 18:00, longer at the peak of summer — hours vary by day and month. Indicative prices from recent seasons: amusement park ticket PLN 12, family ticket PLN 45, combined ticket for all attractions PLN 35 regular and PLN 32 reduced; check the current price list before your visit.
