Park Ogrodzieniec

Beneath the ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle in Podzamcze, in the heart of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, a family complex of five parks operates. The oldest is the Miniature Park: models at a scale of 1:25 of all the castles and strongholds of the Upland are laid out from north to south, exactly as they occur in the terrain, with models of Wawel and Jasna Góra standing beside them. The remaining parts of the complex were added in 2014.

Five parks in one place

The Physics Experience Park gathers 35 devices demonstrating the basic laws of physics, and next to it an amusement park operates with a carousel, slides and an inflatable castle. The year-round River Splash toboggan run is fitted with brakes, so children can ride together with their parents. The fifth element is the House of Legends and Ghosts, where you will meet the black dog, the white lady and the water spirit — characters from Jura legends.

Practical information

The parks occupy an area at the foot of the castle, along Zamkowa Street in Podzamcze, on the route linking Kraków with Częstochowa. A standard ticket costs PLN 49, a concession ticket PLN 44, and opening hours change over the season — the current calendar is best checked before setting off. The village itself is surrounded by limestone outcrops and forests which, after visiting the parks, invite a walk towards the ruins — entry to the castle is sold separately from the park tickets.
