AdrenaLinaPark Rope Park in Podzamcze

Among the beech trees at the foot of the ruined Ogrodzieniec Castle, platforms, walkways and ropes are strung several metres – in places over ten metres – above the ground. AdrenaLinaPark in Podzamcze has been running since 2006 and is one of the first rope parks in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland (the Polish Jura). Today it offers three courses of varying difficulty, including one for children, and makes a natural add-on to a castle visit.

History: from team-building to a rope park

According to the regional tourism portal slaskie.travel, the company started out with team-building activities, climbing and rope games, and only later built a permanent park. In its early days it also strung a 140-metre zip line between the Prisoners' Tower of the castle and the Camel Rocks, about 20 m above the ground. The park has been expanded steadily ever since; the same operator runs a second site in Podlesice, next to the Hotel Ostaniec.

The courses

• Green – 10 obstacles, including 2 zip lines; the starter course and the one for younger climbers.
• Red – 14 obstacles, including 1 zip line.
• Black – 23 obstacles, including 3 zip lines; the longest and most demanding.

Everyone gets a harness, helmet and lanyards, and a short safety briefing before starting. The first platform may only be climbed under an instructor's supervision. Under the park rules the minimum age is 6, and minors shorter than 140 cm may only go up accompanied by an adult.

Prices and opening hours

The green course costs PLN 40, the red or black PLN 50 each, black and red together PLN 60, and all three PLN 80. A second go on any course is PLN 20, and the third is free. There is also a mega-trampoline (PLN 20 for 15 minutes) and a climbing wall (PLN 30 for two climbs). You can pay in cash or by card (as of October 2026).

The park is seasonal: in April, May, June, September and October it opens at weekends, 11:00–19:00, and in July and August daily, 11:00–19:00. Hours may change in bad weather.

Tripto tip

Allow about an hour per course, or half a day with breaks for all three. Wear comfortable sportswear and bring gloves if your hands are sensitive. The park is on ul. Zamkowa in Podzamcze, a few minutes' walk from the castle ticket office, so the easiest option is to use one of the car parks below the castle. Afterwards, visit Ogrodzieniec Castle itself or walk up nearby Birów Hill with its reconstructed early medieval stronghold.
