The marina on the Vistula boulevard is one of the liveliest spots in Kazimierz Dolny. During the tourist season boats depart all day long, and the offer is varied — both modern vessels and ships styled on the old Vistula river trade sail here.
Nearby, the Vistula flows in broad meanders within the Małopolska Gap, so a cruise lasting about an hour shows the ruins of the castle in Kazimierz and the castle in Janowiec on the opposite bank from the water. This perspective is unavailable from the market square or the town's narrow streets.
No booking is required unless a larger group plans to sail. It is worth avoiding the dates of big festivals, when the boulevard and the marina get crowded. The marina lies in the centre, a few minutes from the market square, so a cruise fits easily into a walk around the town or a climb to the heights surrounding it.
