Władysławowo is the northernmost town in Poland, a fishing port at the root of the Hel Peninsula on the Baltic coast. It takes its name from Władysławów, a fort King Władysław IV had built on the shore in the 17th century; until 1952 the village was called Wielka Wieś, and the summer colony around General Józef Haller's villa was known as Hallerowo. The fishing harbour opened on 3 May 1938 and the town received its charter on 30 June 1963. The municipality also covers the resorts of Jastrzębia Góra, Rozewie, Karwia and Chałupy, and the whole shoreline lies within the Coastal Landscape Park (Nadmorski Park Krajobrazowy).
This page brings together our ten picks in Władysławowo and on Cape Rozewie, one- and two-day itineraries (the second day out on the Hel Peninsula), travel tips and the full list of local attractions in the tripto.pl catalogue. Władysławowo is a seasonal resort: several venues open only in summer and some winter visits need a phone booking. Opening hours and prices are listed on each attraction page.
Our picks for a first visit — each with a short reason why.
