Alley of Sports Stars in Władysławowo

The Alley of Sports Stars in Władysławowo is a seaside promenade by the Cetniewo Olympic Preparation Centre, leading towards the beach. Since 2000, granite slabs have carried bronze stars with the names of athletes, coaches and other figures important to sport. It was the first alley in Poland dedicated to Polish and international sports figures.

Whose names you will see

The plaques honour people including Irena Szewińska, Kazimierz Górski, Jerzy Kulej, Kazimierz Deyna, Robert Korzeniowski, Wanda Rutkiewicz and Jerzy Kukuczka. The alley grows every year: after its 24th edition on 18 July 2026, it had more than 160 stars. New honourees included Kamil Stoch, Iwona Guzowska, Jarosław Hampel and Sebastian Świderski.

Why visit

It is a simple stop for anyone interested in Polish sports history and an easy addition to a seaside walk. The promenade links Władysławowo’s sporting tradition with the Cetniewo Olympic centre and the beach. July is the most atmospheric time, when new stars are unveiled, but the plaques can be viewed throughout the season.

Practical information

The alley is an outdoor public space with free access and no fixed visiting hours. Allow about 20–30 minutes to read the stars; reaching the beach makes the walk longer. Paid car parks are available on Hryniewieckiego Street. Combine the stop with the beach, Antoni Abraham Square or a walk towards Cetniewo.
