Władysławowo, Pomeranian
Hallerówka is a wooden villa from 1924 at ul. Morska 6 in Władysławowo, where General Józef Haller – commander of the Blue Army and hero of Poland's symbolic Wedding to the Sea in 1920 – spent his summer holidays. Since 2013 it has been a branch of the Puck Land Museum displaying the general's personal belongings, and in the neighbouring "Adjutant's House" you can learn about seaside holidays in the Puck region.
The plot for the villa was given to the general by Lieutenant Colonel Henryk Bagiński, who had bought the land from Leon Torliński, a resident of Wielka Wieś, today's Władysławowo. A summer colony grew up around the house and was named Hallerowo in the general's honour. Haller came here with his family in summer, and scouts and members of other youth organisations were invited to stay.
After the Second World War the villa was managed by the town and used as council housing. In 1981 it was handed over to the Coastal Landscape Park, which set up the first memorial room devoted to the general. In 2000 the General J. Haller and Blue Army Memorial Centre opened, and in June 2013 the building became a branch of the Florian Ceynowa Puck Land Museum.
