Lumina Park at Zamek Topacz

Every autumn the park around a medieval tower house in Ślęza, just outside Wrocław, turns into a garden of light. The illumination park, now run under the name Lumina Park, follows a 1.5-kilometre route past more than 200 light installations. The 2026/2027 season's theme is "A Magical Journey Through Time" – from ancient civilisations, via medieval castles, to the distant future.

The 2026/2027 season

The park is open from 16 October 2026 to 14 February 2027. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and after 10 January 2027 also on Wednesdays. It always closes at 21:00, while opening time shifts with sunset:

• 16–24 October: 17:30–21:00
• 25 October – 8 November: 16:30–21:00
• 10 November – 10 January: 16:00–21:00
• 13–17 January: 16:30–21:00
• 20–31 January: 17:00–21:00
• 6–14 February: 17:30–21:00

Tickets

Tickets bought online are cheaper than at the ticket office. Online, a reduced ticket costs PLN 35 (Wednesday–Thursday) or PLN 39 (Friday–Sunday and public holidays), a standard ticket PLN 39 or PLN 43, and a family ticket PLN 133 or PLN 147. These prices were published by the city portal wroclaw.pl in October 2026.

Zamek Topacz – what the manor hides

The "castle" itself is the manor house in Ślęza, known in German sources as Schloss Lohe. Its oldest part is a Gothic tower house from the 14th–15th centuries, once surrounded by a moat – one of two surviving medieval tower houses in the Wrocław area. A Renaissance south wing was added in 1618, and inside there is a fireplace with a burgher's coat of arms from the same year. Since 2011 the manor has been a hotel, and the neighbouring buildings house the Museum of Motoring and Technology with around 130 vehicles, including a collection of Rolls-Royces. Since 2024 it has also displayed the original set of the Polish sitcom "Świat według Kiepskich".

Tripto tip

For the 2026/2027 season the park entrance has moved – if you are driving, head for ul. Tulipanowa in Ślęza rather than the castle's main address (ul. Templariuszy 1). From Wrocław you can also take bus 612; the "Ślęza – skrzyżowanie" stop is about 600 m from the entrance. Allow around an hour for a relaxed walk with photo stops. If you are watching your budget, go on a Wednesday or Thursday, when tickets are cheaper. Dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes – the whole route is outdoors.
