Sky Tower Observation Deck

The Sky Tower Observation Deck in Wrocław (VROTS-wahv) sits on the 49th floor, about 200 m above the city, in the tallest building in Lower Silesia. From the top you can take in the whole of Wrocław: the Oder River and its islands, the spires of the Old Town and Cathedral Island, and on very clear days the Sudetes mountains to the south. It is one of the top things to do in Wrocław and a great way to start a visit, because the view helps you make sense of the city's layout.

Sky Tower at a glance

The tower on Powstańców Śląskich Street is 212 m tall (about 215 m with the antenna) and has 51 floors. The mall opened in 2012 and the viewpoint welcomed its first visitors on January 3, 2014. A later renovation more than doubled the space to around 600 m², added a café, two multimedia elevators with 3D animations and, best of all, an outdoor terrace. The project won the Prime Property Prize 2024 and a CEE Investment Award.

What you will see

• The historic center: the Market Square and Town Hall, St. Elizabeth's Church and, farther north, the twin towers of the cathedral on Ostrów Tumski.
• The Oder and its bridges: from up here it is clear why Wrocław is called a city of islands.
• Modern Wrocław: office towers, housing estates and the railroad approach to the main station.
• The horizon: in crisp weather the Sudetes line the southern skyline.

The outdoor terrace lets you shoot photos without glass reflections, a big plus over the old fully glazed deck.

When to go and how long to stay

Allow 45–60 minutes, longer if you stop for coffee. The best time is about an hour before sunset, when you get daylight views, golden hour and the city lights coming on. The outdoor terrace may close in bad weather or strong wind. Children under 3 go free with an adult. Is it worth it? If the weather is clear, yes: no other point in the city gives you a full 360-degree overview.

Tickets and opening hours

As of October 2026:

• Hours: Monday–Saturday 9:00 am–8:30 pm, Sunday 10:00 am–8:30 pm; the ticket desk on the mall's first floor closes at 8:15 pm. Holiday hours differ.
• Tickets: adults 53 PLN, reduced 40 PLN (under 18 and visitors with disabilities); seniors pay 40 PLN before noon.
• Discount: 10% off on the same day with a Kolejkowo ticket.
• Rules: no luggage, food, drinks or pets. Tickets are non-refundable.

How to get there

Sky Tower is about 2 km south of the Market Square. Trams 2, 6, 7 and 17 stop at Wielka right outside; tram 2 runs direct from Wrocław Główny station. There is a paid underground garage. From Wrocław Airport, take bus 106 to the main station and change to tram 2, or take a taxi (roughly 20–30 minutes).
