Magiczne Ogrody (Magic Gardens) in Trzcianki

A few kilometres from Kazimierz Dolny, in the village of Trzcianki near Janowiec, lies Poland's first family theme park. Magiczne Ogrody – the Magic Gardens – opened on 23 May 2014 on 18 hectares of landscaped ground planted with around a million plants. The whole park is built around an original fairy tale, so you move from one land to the next like chapters of a story, meeting Bulwiaki, mischievous Mordole, dwarves and the Chronicler Gnome along the way.

Lands and attractions

• Bridges in the Treetops – a two-level structure with almost 400 m of themed walkways hanging up to 20 m above the ground, which the park describes as the first installation of its kind in Europe. Tunnels run beneath the trees as well.
• The Dwarf Stronghold, with a 15-metre slide, the Dwarves' Tower of Trials and muscle-powered merry-go-rounds.
• Flower Valley, crossed by the little Bulwiak train.
• Mroczysko – a marsh explored with a guide in character, designed as a spooky adventure for older children.
• The Fairy Garden with its Fairy Castle, plus the Dragon's Nest, the Carrot Field, rafts and the newest attraction, the Tall Town Hall.

Did you know?

The park's signature flower is the tulip, including a variety called "Magiczne Ogrody" that took 25 years to develop and can only be seen here. From the start the park was also designed as a sensory space to support children's development and sensory integration. In 2015 it received the Polish Tourism Organisation's certificate for the best tourism product of the year, and in 2016, 2017 and 2020 it was voted Poland's best family attraction in a poll run by the Dziecko w Podróży travel portal.

Practical information

The park is seasonal: in October 2026 it had already closed, with the website announcing the 2027 season. In the 2026 season a standard ticket cost PLN 119, a reduced ticket PLN 109, a ticket for the youngest children PLN 15 and a group/family ticket PLN 329; check the park's website for next season's prices. A ticket covers all attractions. There are 5 restaurants plus cafés and ice-cream stands, the paths are surfaced and buggy-friendly, and staff at the restaurant by the entrance can warm up baby food.

Tripto tip

Plan a whole day – that is the park's own advice, as there is enough to keep a family busy for hours. Without a car, take bus line 17 from Puławy or Janowiec; from Kazimierz Dolny the nicest way is the ferry across the Vistula. In bad weather some attractions may be closed temporarily, so on a rainy day call the park's information line before setting off.
