Kasprowy Wierch Cableway

The Kasprowy Wierch Cableway climbs from Kuźnice into the heart of the Tatra high mountains. The route passes Myślenickie Turnie before reaching the upper station at about 1,959 m above sea level. Along the way, the cabins reveal steep couloirs, ridges and valleys; at the top, visitors gain access to some of Poland’s most dramatic mountain panoramas.

What awaits at the top

The Kasprowy Wierch station is a trailhead for routes towards Beskid, Liliowe, Świnica and Hala Gąsienicowa. This is high-mountain terrain, not simply an urban sightseeing ride: conditions can change quickly, and some routes require experience, fitness and proper equipment. Check Tatra National Park notices and the forecast before setting out.

Tickets and planning

The lower station is at 14 Kuźnice Street in Zakopane. The cableway normally runs every 10 minutes, but in poor weather or with low demand the interval may increase to 30 minutes. Return-ticket sales end two hours before the final departure, so do not leave the return journey until the last moment. Tickets are available online and from PKL sales points.

Practical information

First and last departures change during the year, and wind, visibility or technical work may suspend services. Check the current lift status, timetable, prices and access rules directly with PKL before travelling. Allow several hours for the ride, views and a safe time buffer. Cars cannot reach Kuźnice; use public transport or walk from Zakopane.
