Termy BUKOVINA Thermal Baths

The water you swim in at Bukowina Tatrzańska fell as rain on the forested lower slopes of the Tatras around 10,000 years ago. For millennia it seeped through the rock until a borehole 2,400 m deep brought it to the surface at 67°C. Termy BUKOVINA cools it to 30–38°C and fills 20 pools with it, indoors and in the open air with views of the Tatras. The complex lies about 15 km from Zakopane and 20 km from Nowy Targ.

Where the water comes from

The water comes from the Bukowina Tatrzańska PIG/PNiG 1 borehole on the north-western slope of Wysoki Wierch. Citing research by the Polish Geological Institute, the operator explains how rainfall soaks into the fractured karst rocks of the Tatras and then flows deep beneath Podhale, heated by the Earth. The borehole yields around 48 m³ of water per hour. Long contact with the rock has raised its mineral content to about 1.7 g/dm³.

What's inside

• 20 thermal pools: leisure pools indoors and outdoors plus an outdoor swimming pool. The total water surface is about 1,885 m².
• Three year-round slides in the refurbished children's and teens' zone: the family tube slide "Tatrzański Ślizg" (132 m, six multimedia programmes), "Bukowiańsko Ruła" (100 m, with seven light-and-sound shows to choose from before you set off) and the fast "Tunel Świstaka" (Marmot Tunnel, 59 m).
• In summer two outdoor slides open as well: the fast "Łostry Śwung" and the gentle "Krynconka".
• 8 saunas: Finnish saunas, steam rooms, an infrared cabin, a laconium, plus a cool-down and relaxation area.
• Aqua aerobics, aroma sessions in the saunas and diving for children every Sunday. "Noc Basenów" (Pool Night) parties with DJs are held regularly; the next one is scheduled for 24 October 2026.

Practical information (as of October 2026)

• Opening hours: daily 9:00–22:00.
• Low-season prices apply from 31 August to 20 December 2026, except 6–15 November, when high-season prices are charged.
• 3.5-hour package: adults PLN 89 (Mon–Thu) / PLN 99 (Fri–Sun); children under 13 PLN 69/79; seniors 60+ PLN 75/85.
• All day: adults PLN 125/149, children PLN 85/110.
• 30-minute package: adults PLN 30/39, then a per-minute charge.
• Family entry 2+1 (4 hours): PLN 209/239; 2+2: PLN 249/279.
• Saunas: each entry to the sauna zone with the 3.5-hour package costs PLN 33 (towel or sheet included); a two-hour sauna-only ticket is PLN 69/79.
• Parking: free for the duration of your visit, room for about 200 cars and 10 coaches.

Prices for the Christmas period and winter school holidays 2026/27 had not yet been published. High-season prices are higher, so expect to pay more during the holidays.

Tripto tip

The 3.5-hour package is enough for the pools and slides; with the saunas and a meal at the "Na Wiyrchu" restaurant or Cafe BUKOVINA, most people stay half a day. Monday to Thursday is cheaper than the weekend, so if your plans are flexible, come midweek. The outdoor pools are at their most atmospheric in winter, when steam rises off the water and the snowy Tatras fill the background.
