Krzakoska Rock with a Bench in Wisła

In a wooded slope above Wisła, by the Kobyla housing estate, a roughly 10-metre rock with a bench on top emerges from the ground. Krzakoska Skała, also called the Rock on Kobyla, rises at an altitude of 730 m above sea level and is one of the larger solitary rock formations in the Silesian Beskids.

A bench with a heart

In 2020 a wooden bench with a heart cut into its backrest was placed on the summit. The spot quickly became a popular photo point, and the view from the top takes in the Wisła valley and the ridges of Czantoria and Równica. From the summit you can survey a good part of the Silesian Beskids, and the rock ledge comfortably seats as many people as the bench can hold.

A climbers' rock

Long before the bench appeared, climbers had been visiting Krzakoska Skała — more than a dozen protected climbing routes lead up its face. It is one of the few rocks in the Silesian Beskids where climbing has become a local tradition.

How to get there

The simplest way leads along the blue trail from Wisła Dziechcinka — allow about 1 hour 15 minutes. From the Pod Małym Stożkiem side you will arrive via the yellow trail and then the blue one, in about 30 minutes. There is a car park by the asphalt road, so part of the route can be driven. Entry is free, and the rock is accessible round the clock, all year.
