Historic Adventure Park in Wisła

On the edge of the spa Park Kopczyński in the centre of Wisła, right by the Moon Boulevard laid out over the river, stands an open-air gallery: 10 miniatures of the most important buildings from towns on the Vistula, made of coloured glass mosaic. Locals call it the Miniatures Park.

The river in a nutshell

The concept of the display is clear: a spot right by the source of the river joins its entire course — from the south to the north of the country. The display opens with the Presidential Castle in Wisła, followed by mosaic silhouettes of the Wawel hill, the castles in Sandomierz, Janowiec and Kazimierz Dolny, the palace in Puławy, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the cathedral of St. Johns in Toruń, the castle in Świecie and the Gdańsk Crane. The effect reads like a map of the river — from the Beskid forests to the seaside Gdańsk.

The Alley of Tales and Legends

In the same park, not far from the miniatures, stretches the Alley of Tales and Legends: wooden sculptures showing the heroes of the stories of Cieszyn Silesia. Together with the mosaic castles they form one coherent walking route that lets you cover the river and the region over a single picnic on the grass.

In practice

The park lies in the very centre of Wisła, by the boulevards over the river — a few minutes’ walk from the heart of the spa resort. Nearby await the Pod Jedlami hotel (1 km) and Wisła Premium (2.8 km), and the walk can be extended along the boulevards following the Vistula. The park entrance is municipal and open to strollers; the miniatures look best on sunny days, when the glass catches the light.
