Kaskady Rodła in Wisła

Kaskady Rodła are a series of natural rapids and small waterfalls on the Biała Wisełka stream in Wisła-Czarne. The stream runs through the valley towards Lake Czerniańskie, and the cascades are one of the easiest walking destinations in this part of the Beskids. They suit a quiet outing by a mountain stream, especially if you are not planning a long summit hike.

Walking through the Biała Wisełka valley

An asphalt road leads through the Biała Wisełka valley. From the end of the section open to cars, the best-known part of the route is about 2.5 km away on foot; the whole valley is over 6 km long. The gentle gradient makes the first section suitable for families, although the surface can be slippery after rain.

Water and mountain scenery

The cascades are natural steps in the Biała Wisełka stream, surrounded by forest and mountain slopes. They are not one tall waterfall but a sequence of smaller drops, best viewed while walking beside the stream. Lake Czerniańskie is nearby, and the blue trail continues towards Barania Góra.

Practical tips

Cars may go only as far as the designated access point because motor traffic is prohibited along the valley. Wear comfortable shoes and take care near the water after rainfall. Do not step onto slippery rocks, litter the stream or let dogs run uncontrolled. Combine the walk with the viewpoint by Lake Czerniańskie or a longer hike to Barania Góra.
