Brzoskwinka Valley

Brzoskwinka Valley lies between Brzoskwinia and Chrosna, on the southern edge of the Kraków Valleys. The Brzoskwinka stream runs through the broad upper valley before cutting into a wooded gorge with limestone rocks. Its most interesting section lies in Tenczyn Landscape Park.

The Chrośnianeczka trail

The rocky section is crossed by the red Chrośnianeczka trail. The PTTK listing gives it as 4.3 km, about 1 hour 40 minutes, with 219 m of ascent and descent. The loop runs between limestone crags and over a viewpoint ridge above the valley. You can connect it with the blue trail from Mników to Przybysławice. It is not flat throughout, so sturdy shoes are useful.

Chrośnianieckie Rocks and Artists’ Rocks

In 2005, residents of Chrosna cleared part of the overgrown crags, revealing rounded Jurassic limestone forms. Artists’ Rocks commemorate Helena and Stefan Gałkowski, Kraków tapestry artists who lived in Brzoskwinia. Climbing access depends on land ownership: the western municipal section is available, while the eastern slope is private and requires the owners’ agreement. Do not enter private land without permission.

Practical information

Entry to the public trail is free and the valley can be visited year-round. Approach from Brzoskwinia or Chrosna and check parking signs, as some land and roads are private. The trail begins near Chrosna, while the upper section lies by Brzoskwinia. Bring water and allow time for the climbs.
