Summit and tower in the Śnieżnik Massif

Czarna Góra (1,205 m) is a distinct, conical summit in the northern part of the Śnieżnik Massif, above Sienna and Stronie Śląskie. A wooden observation tower built in 2000 stands on the peak. Its 14-metre structure looks across the Kłodzko Valley and the surrounding Sudetes; in exceptionally clear weather, more distant ridges are visible. This is primarily a viewpoint and a short mountain outing, not simply another name for the ski resort.

Getting to the summit

The easiest start is in Sienna, at Czarna Góra Resort. The six-seater Luxtorpeda lift reaches the upper slopes in a few minutes; from the upper station, a short but locally steep walk remains. You can also hike on marked routes: the approach from Puchaczówka Pass is about 2 km, while the route from Międzygórze is about 5 km. Check the trail and the lift operator’s notice before setting out, as lift operation depends on the season and weather.

Practical information

The tower is free, but the Luxtorpeda requires a separate ticket. In the 2026 summer tariff, a return ride costs PLN 55 full price or PLN 45 reduced; a ride up costs PLN 50/40 and a ride down PLN 35/25. In September 2026, the lift operates on days and hours published by the resort, so check the schedule on the day of your visit. Food outlets and resort facilities are available at the lower and upper stations. Wear shoes with good grip, carry water and bring a wind layer; after rain, the steep approach can be slippery. Allow 2–3 hours for the lift, tower and an unhurried short walk.
