Things to do in gmina Stronie Śląskie

Stronie Śląskie municipality lies at the south-eastern tip of the Kłodzko Land, between the Golden and Bialskie Mountains and the Śnieżnik Massif. Most of it is forested, and much of it belongs to the Śnieżnik Landscape Park. The main hiking goal is Śnieżnik, the highest peak of the Eastern Sudetes, reached by trails from Kletno and elsewhere. In winter skiers head to Czarna Góra, and in summer its summit is a starting point for hiking and cycling routes. In Kletno you can tour the former Uranium Mine, and the famous Bear Cave is nearby. For quieter walks choose Rudawiec in the Bialskie Mountains or Kowadło in the Golden Mountains, and in Stara Morawa see the historic lime kiln and the reservoir. Allow two to three days for hiking. Come by car via Kłodzko and Lądek-Zdrój. Winter suits skiing, and June to October is best for hiking.
