Igliczna (845 m above sea level) is a summit in the Śnieżnik Massif above Międzygórze. The main destination is the Maria Śnieżna Sanctuary of Our Lady Cause of Our Joy, a late-Baroque church built in 1781–1782. The area around the church offers views across the Kłodzko region, and a mountain hostel stands below it.
The site’s story is linked to a statue of the Virgin Mary brought from Mariazell in Austria in 1750 by Krzysztof Veit of Wilkanów. The present church was built as pilgrimages grew, and the statue was crowned by Pope John Paul II in 1983. It remains an active place of worship, so plan any interior visit around services and the sanctuary’s current rules.
Red, yellow and green trails lead from Międzygórze to Igliczna; the red section to the sanctuary is about 2.5 km. You can also approach by road from Bystrzyca Kłodzka via Marianówka and Szklary, then use the “cross” car park about 400 m from the sanctuary. Check trail conditions, weather and the site’s current availability before setting out.
