Chochołowy Dwór in Jerzmanowice

Chochołowy Dwór is a hotel and restaurant in Jerzmanowice, on national road 94 between Kraków and Olkusz, about 15 km from Kraków. The building and its interiors are styled on the manor houses of the local gentry. Ojców National Park and the limestone valleys north of Kraków are close enough to make it a handy base for walks, or a lunch stop after a day out.

Cooking with local touches

The restaurant serves Polish dishes with a modern twist, built on seasonal, local produce; bread is baked on site and preserves are made in-house. The menu reflects the area: the żurek, a sour rye soup, is made with starter from nearby Kochanów, and the trout comes from the Kluczwoda Valley. There is a children's menu, and the "Chochołowa Spiżarnia" (pantry) sells pasteurised dishes to take away, including żurek, beetroot soup and homemade bread.

Hotel, garden and events

The three-star hotel has 32 rooms, including two apartments. Around it lies a garden of about 3 hectares with the Trapper's Village playground, barbecue huts, a campfire spot, a small climbing rock and pitches for football and beach volleyball. The venue hosts weddings, family celebrations and conferences, with conference rooms seating up to 500 people in total.

A walking route of about 3.9 km leads from Chochołowy Dwór to Łokietek's Cave in Ojców National Park – a little over an hour on foot each way.
