Słoneczny Ekspres Tourist Train in Busko-Zdrój

In Busko-Zdrój, a sightseeing train called Słoneczny Ekspres runs along the promenade between the market square and the Spa Park. Colourful and battery-powered, these electric vehicles let you explore the resort town without effort — even after dark, since rides operate every day from 10:00 to 22:00.

A route through the heart of the resort

The main line follows the pedestrian street of Mickiewicza, linking the market square with the Spa Park and the sanatoriums. Stops stand among others by Galeria Zielona and the town's spa houses, and during the ride you learn curiosities about the buildings you pass. It is a convenient introduction to a town granted its charter in 1287 and mentioned as early as the 12th century as Bużsk.

Trips into the Ponidzie region

The train also serves as a vehicle for longer excursions: daily departures head to the Zimne Wody reserve, to the Pine on Stilts in Wełecz, to the Gothic church of Chotel Czerwony founded by Jan Długosz, and to the wooden church in Chotelek. A longer route across Ponidzie can also be booked privately for your own group.

In practice

The easiest stop to find is on the promenade near the market square: the Spa Park lies about 1.3 km away and the famous Marconi sanatorium about 1.4 km. The train runs all year round, and a ride pairs well with a stroll through the Spa Park and an afternoon in town.
