Walk of Fame in Busko-Zdrój

The Walk of Fame in Busko-Zdrój lies in the Spa Park, between the main façade of the Łazienki and the fountain, beside the Marconi sanatorium. Its signature feature is a series of bronze “Suns” cast by sculptor Jacek Kucaba of Tarnów and set into commemorative plaques.

What to see

Each Sun commemorates a figure connected with the Krystyna Jamroz International Music Festival. The alley names people including Krystyna Jamroz, Grażyna Brodzińska, Krzysztof Penderecki, Piotr Paleczny, Wiesław Ochman, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Małgorzata Walewska and Leopold Kozłowski. It is a small but distinctive detail of the spa park, bringing together classical music, opera and Busko’s festival tradition.

A festival tradition

The alley grows with successive festival editions. During the event, invited artists personally unveil their plaques, making the site both a permanent outdoor display and part of Busko-Zdrój’s cultural calendar. Visit during the festival if you want to see the promenade at its liveliest.

Practical information

The alley is part of the public Spa Park, so entry is free and there is no separate ticket office or fixed visiting schedule. Allow about 10–15 minutes to see the Suns. Combine it with the Marconi sanatorium, the fountain and the park’s main avenue; check the town calendar for current events.
