Amusement parks
In winter, the grounds of the Leśne Kąpielisko MOSiR forest swimming area at Srebrna 10 street in Zabrze turn into the Park of a Million Lights — a festive land of illuminations spread over 220,000 m². The leading theme is the Snow Queen; the route includes the glowing „Land of Ice" circle, a huge shimmering castle, the Lovers' Alley, a carousel you can spin yourself, a static fairy-tale train and a sleigh with polar bears.
The illuminations are not fenced off, so you can walk inside them and set up photos from every angle. By the Swan Lake await glowing ornaments; along the alley stands a peacock changing colours, while glowing thrones and the „Love" sign attract photographers. A full tour of the exhibition takes 60–90 minutes, with no time limit.
The park operates in the winter season. On site there are food stalls (oscypek cheese, mulled wine, halva), a restaurant and a paid car park; the sledding hill is charged separately. On weekends a free shuttle bus runs from Zabrze M1, departing every hour from 3:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Solid footwear is recommended — the route leads across stairs and ground that can be slippery after precipitation.
