Funzeum in Gliwice

Funzeum – Children's Imagination Centre fills 4,000 m² in the Europa Centralna shopping centre in Gliwice. Despite the name, nobody looks at anything through glass here – the motto translates as "You don't tour it. You do it." Children build, paint, experiment and climb, and parents can join in the workshops. It is all indoors, so it is a safe bet for a rainy day in Silesia.

Four zones, six workshops

The space is divided into four zones: Build, Create, Discover and Move. Each of the first three has two workshops:

• TechLab – vehicles built from construction bricks and tested on a ramp,
• CraftLab – cardboard structures joined with safe bolts,
• ArtLab – painting and practising manual skills,
• DesignLab – designing items of clothing and showing them on a catwalk,
• ScienceLab – spectacular chemistry experiments,
• TubanLab – making your own slime in all colours and textures.

One workshop is always included in the ticket, and children take home whatever they make. Sign up at the ticket desk – places are limited.

The Move zone

The most energetic area is open to everyone, whichever workshop you choose. Its centrepiece is the Funbirynt – which Funzeum describes as Poland's only woven, suspended maze – a multi-level climbing space. Next to it are a floor piano that plays as you step on it, the Funfli School with air tubes and ball cannons, Pixel, a floor that reacts to every step, and XL blocks for giant constructions. The youngest have their own area with big soft blocks, chalk drawing and a little explorer's path.

Tickets (as of October 2026)

• child and parent – PLN 69 each online or PLN 79 at the desk; the ticket covers all zones and one workshop, each additional workshop costs PLN 9.90,
• person with a disability or their carer – PLN 39,
• toddler up to 100 cm – PLN 10, with no time limit,
• pass for unlimited visits over 3 months – PLN 159.

A standard ticket gives 3 hours of play; staying longer costs PLN 1 per minute. Members of the Funfli Club get 10% off.

• Hours: daily 10:00–19:00; check the current schedule before your visit.
• Booking: an online ticket guarantees your date and entry time and can be rescheduled once before the visit date.
• Time: visitors spend between 90 and 180 minutes here on average.
• On site: café, FunShop and toilets.
• Getting there: Europa Centralna (ul. Pszczyńska 315) has free parking with 2,300 spaces.
