Szyndzielnia Gondola Lift

The Szyndzielnia Gondola Lift is one of the easiest gateways to the Silesian Beskids. The lower station is in Bielsko-Biała’s Olszówka district, while glazed six-person cabins cover roughly 1,810 m and reach an upper station at about 959 m above sea level. The ride takes around eight minutes and opens views over Bielsko-Biała and the surrounding ranges.

What to see after the ride

The upper station is not on Szyndzielnia’s highest point, but it is an excellent base for a walk or a longer hike. A comfortable path reaches the Szyndzielnia PTTK mountain hut in about 15 minutes. Nearby, an 18-metre lookout tower offers views towards the Silesian and Little Beskids, Babia Góra, Pilsko and, in clear weather, the Tatras.

Trails in the Silesian Beskids

From the upper station, you can head towards Klimczok, Trzy Kopce, Błatnia or the pass below Dębowiec. Routes vary in length and surface, so choose an option that matches your fitness and the weather. The gondola is also useful for families and for anyone who wants to shorten the initial climb.

Practical information

The lift runs to a seasonal timetable, and the lookout tower is open only during lift operating hours. Check current hours, prices and holiday exceptions on the official website before travelling. Tickets are sold at the station, from a machine or online; mobile reception at the lower station can be weak, so buying in advance is sensible. Allow 2–3 hours for the ride, tower and a short walk.
