Mountains & peaks
At the foot of Grabowa in Brenna stands the wooden cottage Chata Grabowa. The building has been restored and operates as a private mountain hut and a resting point on the trail. Its main advantage is the ridge-top setting and a terrace overlooking the ranges of the Silesian Beskids. It is a good place for a break if you prefer a quieter stop away from busy resorts.
Next to the hut is the themed Fairy Tale Garden. Sculptures and scenes inspired by Silesian legends include figures such as Utopiec, Południca, Swaróg and Światowid. This makes Chata Grabowa an interesting stop for families with children as well, although the main way to reach it is still on foot through mountain terrain.
The Fairy Tale Trail of Utopiec leads here from Brenna Centre and takes about two hours. A shorter approach starts in Brenna Leśnica and takes about 45 minutes. Check trail conditions before setting out, carry water and do not assume that driving right to the hut will be possible or convenient. The walking times depend on weather and your pace.
The address is Grabowa 52, 43-438 Brenna. The municipality’s official tourism service lists +48 510 101 222 and the Chata Grabowa Facebook profile. No reliable year-round opening schedule has been confirmed, so call ahead, especially outside the main season or if you are planning an overnight stay. In winter, suitable conditions may allow ski routes in the area. The garden and hut services follow the operator’s current offer; confirm availability and prices before your visit.
