Moszna Castle

Moszna Castle is recognised by its towers, turrets and park, which give the residence an almost theatrical character. It is a strong short-trip destination in the Opole region, but plan the visit: the park, chambers and towers are separate elements and their availability changes by season.

What to see

Walk around the castle from the park side first to understand the full silhouette and sight lines. Inside, look for the mixture of styles and traces of everyday life in the residence. The towers offer a different view but require stairs and are difficult for visitors with limited mobility.

The present form of the residence grew through extensions and changes made by the Tiele-Wienckler family. Local promotional descriptions about 99 towers and 365 rooms belong to the castle’s popular story; they should be labelled as such rather than treated as unquestioned historical data. The park contains old trees, but not every castle legend is documented.

In the April–October season the park opens from 08:30, while chamber and tower hours differ. Current published prices include PLN 24 for the park, PLN 52 for chambers without a guide and PLN 44 for the towers; combined tickets are also available. The standard chamber visit takes about an hour and the tower route up to 30 minutes. Parking and food services are available on site.
