Twinpigs Amusement Park, Żory

A sheriff's office with a cell for outlaws, a post office with a telegraph, gunfights on the main street and Luisa the cow, on whom children can practise milking — the Twinpigs American Amusement Park in Żory was built as a town straight out of a western. According to the official tourism portal of the Silesian region, it was the first park in Poland to borrow so heavily from American classics: more than 10 hectares are divided into eight themed zones. It is a full-day outing for families with children rather than a quick stop.

A Wild West town

The park lies in Kleszczówka, a district of Żory surrounded by woods. Its heart is a western street with wooden façades, lined with the Sheriff's Office (you can peek into the cell), a Post Office with a telegraph and souvenirs, and the "Little Cowboy" shop. Cowboy shows take place between the buildings, and a mechanical bull waits by the paddock. Children can also try gold panning, a nod to the gold-rush era. In 2018 the Polish Press Agency described the park as covering 7 hectares and being run by the municipal company Nowe Miasto — today's 10-plus hectares show how much it has grown since.

Mexico, the forest and Hawaii

Beyond the western street, further zones begin. In the Mexican area the Family Coaster runs, a family roller coaster themed on crossing the Sierra Madre, while older children head for Montezuma's Pendulum. The forest zone offers a narrow-gauge train, a Native American village, archery, an educational trail about the forest floor and two rope parks — one with a zip line for the youngest, the other, an educational course, for ages 5 and up. The Hawaiian village has the Waikiki playground under palm trees and the Waikiki Grill.

What else to see

• Far View Ferris wheel — the gondolas look like covered settlers' wagons and give a view over the whole park.
• Whisky carousel with eight spinning barrels.
• Mysterious Underground — a cart ride combined with 7D technology (minimum height 130 cm).
• 5D cinema and the Haunted Mine for children aged 8+ who like a good scare.
• Animal enclosure with goats, fallow deer and Cameroon sheep, plus a mini zoo with rabbits, ducks, hens and geese.

Tickets and season

The 2026 season runs from May to October. Standard (over 130 cm) and reduced (under 130 cm) tickets cost PLN 59 online and PLN 79 at the ticket office; children under 100 cm pay PLN 15 (as of October 2026). The price covers about 50 attractions plus shows and entertainment. Extras include the mechanical bull (PLN 5, one token), the Texas Gun shooting gallery, arcade games and pony rides. Getting there

The park is at ul. Katowicka 24, right by the DK81 exit (Katowice–Wisła road). It takes about 35 minutes from Katowice and about 45 minutes from Bielsko-Biała or Ostrava in the Czech Republic. There are 3 car parks with room for more than 700 vehicles, including coaches. Free municipal buses in Żory stop at the gate — line 06, stop "Leśna Miasteczko Westernowe".

Tripto tip

Buy tickets online — you save PLN 20 per person and skip the ticket-office queue. Measure your child before you go: many rides have height limits (for example 110 or 130 cm), which decide what a youngster can ride alone. On site there are the Texas, Old West, Rock'n'Roll Diner and Bistro Mexicana restaurants, and the whole park is pushchair-friendly. If you want to stay longer in Żory, the town also has the Fire Museum and the Aquarion water park.
