Promenade in Międzyzdroje

The busiest and most colourful spot in Międzyzdroje is the seaside promenade along Bohaterów Warszawy Street. Lining it is resort architecture, and the cafés and restaurants make evenings the liveliest time in town.

The town’s symbols by the sea

In the middle section of the promenade stands the Amber Baltic hotel, opened in 1991. Its shape recalls a large steamship, and since then it has been one of the recognisable symbols of Międzyzdroje. Right next to it begins the Avenue of Stars, where famous Poles leave handprints, and nearby you can visit the Wax Figures Museum — a set of attractions that makes the promenade an ornament of the town, not just a way to the beach.

The green side of the walk

You can catch your breath from the promenade bustle in the Fryderyk Chopin Spa Park with its fountains and stylish lanterns. The promenade is also a convenient starting point for exploring the area: the beach begins practically at the boardwalk, Kawcza Góra lies 1.7 km away, and Wolin National Park with its cliffs and dense beech forest 3.7 km.

In practice

The promenade is reached at Bohaterów Warszawy Street, access is free and the boardwalk is open around the clock, all year round. The beach is only a few hundred metres away, so a stroll combines easily with lazing on the sand and an evening walk by the sea.
