Gosań Hill near Międzyzdroje

Gosań Hill in Wolin National Park is the highest point on the Polish coast, rising to 93 m above sea level about 4 km east of Międzyzdroje. A viewpoint on the cliff top looks out over the Baltic Sea and the coastal landscape of Wolin Island.

A cliff-top viewpoint

The entrance is by regional road 102 between Międzyzdroje and Wisełka, at a roadside stopping place indicated by Wolin National Park. A short forest path with an uphill section leads from the road. From the top, you can see the sea and the cliff coast, as well as Międzyzdroje and the Świnoujście area when visibility is good. Gosań’s appeal lies in the combination of the panorama, beech forest and exposed cliff edge.

Combine Gosań with other Wolin National Park highlights: Kawcza Góra, Wzgórze Zielonka, Piaskowa Góra and Turquoise Lake near Wapnica. In Międzyzdroje, add the European bison show enclosure and a walk along the seafront. Check trail lengths and connections before setting out; the viewpoints do not all form one short route.

Practical information

The viewpoint is part of Wolin National Park infrastructure; park and parking fees may apply, and access arrangements change seasonally. Check the current park fee schedule and notices before travelling. Stay on the marked path, keep away from the unstable cliff edge and take care on wet ground. Do not plan a beach descent unless an official legal access route is indicated.
