Zoos
Egzotarium in Sosnowiec is a modern Ecological Education Centre opened in 2023. One building combines a palm house, a zoological display and an educational route. It is a good choice for a rainy day, a family outing or anyone interested in plants, reptiles, fish and birds. After the visit, you can relax in the neighbouring Biodiversity Park.
The route runs through three zones: tropical, Mediterranean and desert. They feature palms, banana plants, olive trees and a cactus collection, alongside plants adapted to different climates. The exhibition combines a botanical-garden experience with environmental education.
Aquariums and terrariums present freshwater fish, stingrays, pacu piranhas, a green anaconda, spectacled caiman, iguanas, pythons and birds. The venue also publishes information about feeding demonstrations for koi carp, pacu piranhas and the toucan. Organised groups can book guided visits and educational activities; a guided tour lasts about an hour and requires advance arrangements.
Address: Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego 116, 41-200 Sosnowiec, Poland. Egzotarium is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; the ticket office closes at 6:00 p.m. Mondays are closed. A small car park runs along Kresowa Street, with a larger one by the Biodiversity Park. Check current prices, holiday exceptions and feeding times before visiting. You can continue through the park afterwards, following current safety signs.
