Złoty Potok is a village in Janów municipality, Częstochowa County, set on the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland by the Wiercica River. The settlement was first recorded in 1153, and in the 19th century the estate belonged to the Krasiński family. The former manor house, where the poet Zygmunt Krasiński stayed, is now a museum, next to a historic park with a palace. The area is known for limestone rocks and springs: in the Parkowe nature reserve you will see Twardowski's Gate and the Bear Grotto, and the Amerykan and Zielony ponds are ideal for a quiet walk. By the springs of the Wiercica is a trout farm founded in the 19th century, one of the first in Europe, where you can taste local trout. The historic mill at Kołaczew is also worth a walk. One day covers the village and nearby trails. Come by car on regional road 793 or by bus from Częstochowa. Spring to autumn is best.
