Mountains & peaks
Złota Góra in Brodnica Górna is a viewpoint in the heart of Kashubia, within the Kashubian Landscape Park. From the terrace on the hill, about 190 metres above sea level, you can see Lake Wielkie Brodno, Lake Ostrzyckie, the surrounding hills and the Kashubian landscape, with Wieżyca in the distance. It is a good stop for a short walk and an unhurried panorama.
The main attraction is the view of a mosaic of lakes, forests and morainic uplands. The viewpoint stands by the junction of the Kartuzy–Stężyca and Kartuzy–Ostrzyce roads, making it easy to include in a drive through Kashubia. In clear weather, Wieżyca, the highest hill in Pomerania, may also be visible.
The site has a viewing terrace and the Centre for Water Sports and Regional Promotion, with a marina, outdoor stage and an amphitheatre shaped like an upside-down boat. Złota Góra also hosts local events, including the Strawberry Harvest Festival held around June and July. Nearby Lake Wielkie Brodno and other Kashubian viewpoints make it easy to extend the stop.
This is an outdoor attraction without an exhibition requiring a reservation. Come when visibility is good and combine the stop with a driving, cycling or walking route in the area. The terrace is beside a road, so take care when approaching and use designated parking areas. Check the current condition of the facilities and any event-related access restrictions before travelling.
