Lakes
Lake Długie lies between Węsiory and Niesiołowice in Kashubia, beside Lake Czarne. Its wooded shores, forest tracks and quiet atmosphere make it a place for a short walk and a close look at the Kashubian landscape rather than a busy resort.
Węsiory is a useful base for exploring the area on foot or by bike. Do not assume that every part of the shore is a prepared beach or supervised bathing area. Access to jetties, swimming and any water equipment can depend on the season and local facilities.
The most important addition to the trip is the nearby group of stone circles and burial mounds, associated with a prehistoric cemetery. In the “Stone Circles” reserve, walkers must stay on the designated educational path around the circles and mounds, the viewing platform and the shelter. Treat this as a separate stop to combine with the lake, not as a route for driving directly to the monuments.
Start near Węsiory and check local signs and reserve rules on arrival. Wear shoes suitable for forest ground, carry water and use insect repellent. Do not leave the marked path, move stones or light fires. Late afternoon brings softer light, but return before dark.
