In Mszczonów, a town between Warsaw and Łódź, operates a bathing complex opened in 2008 and fed with genuine thermal water. It is drawn from a depth of more than 1,700 metres and reaches the surface at a temperature above 30 degrees Celsius. The water is hydrogencarbonate-calcium-sodium and slightly brown — it is recommended to avoid white swimwear, as the colour comes from natural compounds, not from pollution.
Two year-round pools with raw thermal water operate also in winter, and one of them lies inside the building. The basins offer a neck massage and wall massagers, and there are also saunas available all year. Water of such composition is often recommended to people with rheumatic and bone ailments, and the bath itself lowers the level of stress.
From spring to autumn the outdoor recreational pool opens, with an artificial river, air geysers and a set of slides, next to a sports pool with cooler water. For families there are a jacuzzi, a children's wading pool, a grassy beach, a playground and a beach volleyball court. In winter, on the other hand, a roofed ice rink operates, thanks to which the site lives all year round.
The address is Warszawska Street 52 in Mszczonów, about an hour by car from central Warsaw. The complex is open daily from 8.30 a.m. to 10.00 p.m., and after the bath you return to the city by a comfortable road. Weekday evenings are the quietest, so it is worth choosing that time for a therapeutic bath.
