In Łopuszna in the Podhale region, by the voivodeship road no. 969 from Nowy Targ to Krościenko, the Pstrąg guesthouse serves fish from its own farm. It is the only establishment in the region running its own trout farm, so the fish always reaches the table fresh — never frozen. From the main road it takes a few kilometres through the village to get there, passing a manor house and a wooden church.
The kitchen is based on farmed fish, primarily trout prepared in various ways. Simplicity and freshness are the rule: only fish that has never been frozen is served. This is a proven address in an area where dishes of comparable fish quality are hard to find.
The village itself invites a stroll: on the way you pass the Tetmajer manor house and a wooden church, and further on the meadows of Podhale open up. The biggest attractions of the region are close by — the wooden church in Dębno is about 6 km away, the castle in Niedzica 15 km, and the Dunajec raft ride starts some 19 km further.
The Pstrąg guesthouse in Łopuszna (Nowy Targ commune) is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00. It is worth combining a visit with a walk around the village and a trip to the Pieniny mountains, within a short drive.
