Hokus Pokuss Candy Manufactory in Żarki

In the centre of Żarki, at the foot of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, runs the Hokus Pokuss candy manufactory — a place where lollipops are made by hand and before the visitors' eyes. Piłsudskiego Street 17 hides a workshop where hot sugar mass turns into round, two-colour lollipops of various flavours and colours, and the whole process can be watched up close.

A sweet craft

The speciality of the workshop are lollipops shaped like ponies, roses, hearts, bears or smurfs, also made to order. Guests are not spectators here: children and adults can take part in shaping the sweets themselves, and over coffee comes a talk on how such a manufactory works. The visit works well for individual tourists and organised groups, including school workshops.

In practice

For individual visitors the manufactory is open on Saturdays; organised groups are admitted from Monday to Friday. Current opening hours and prices are published on the workshop's profile. Parking by the barns is free. It is worth combining the visit with nearby attractions of the Jura: the Stary Młyn Museum of Old Crafts, the EtnoJura workshop or the pizza workshops at Przystan Leśniów.
