About this place
EtnoJura is a series of craft workshops run by Etno Pracownia in Żarki on the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland – on the studio's website the workshop gallery is titled "Warsztaty EtnoJury". Participants work with hay, wicker, wood and leather and take home a toy or decoration they have made themselves. It suits school and nursery groups, families with children and adults who want to combine sightseeing in the Jura with something creative.
Workshops with natural materials
The studio draws on "eco" and "ethno" themes, and its rooms – as the hosts put it – smell of wicker and hay. The programme for schools and nurseries includes:
- Hay animals – a pet or a "funny creature" made from hay, coloured ribbon and grains of maize or beans (age 4+).
- Making toys – a story about what toys used to be made of, followed by painting your own: horses on wheels, cars, cats or butterflies (age 3+).
- Square world – figures and animals assembled from wooden blocks and pegs (age 8+).
- Wicker hearts, leather key rings and sewn cuddly toys.
- Seasonal Easter and Christmas eco-decorations made of hay, wicker and birch.
The studio welcomes groups all year round at its base in Żarki and can also run sessions off-site, at a school or nursery. The programme is adapted to the participants' age – from three-year-olds to secondary-school students – and there is a separate offer for adults.
Prices (as of October 2026)
According to the price list for schools and nurseries, an hour of workshops costs from PLN 28 (hay animals) to PLN 35 (toys, wooden blocks), with a discount when booked as a package. A wicker heart costs PLN 22, two hearts PLN 28. Agree prices for families and adults directly with the studio.
