Ciuchcia Ponidzie, officially the Świętokrzyska Narrow-Gauge Railway “Ciuchcia Express Ponidzie”, is a tourist ride on a historic railway through the landscapes of the Ponidzie region.
The line dates back to 1915, when the first section was built for the Austro-Hungarian army. The later Jędrzejów Local Railway served industry and towns across Ponidzie, and its network once covered about 340 km. Today it operates mainly as a tourist attraction. Train services are organised by the Świętokrzyskie and Nidarian Landscape Parks team.
In the 2026 season, individual tourist runs operate on selected Sundays along the Jędrzejów Narrow-Gauge–Motkowice–Jędrzejów route. Departure is scheduled for 10:30, followed by a several-hour stop in Motkowice and a return to Jędrzejów at about 15:15. There is a place for a campfire, but visitors provide their own food. Group trips and special events may use a different route or timetable.
The starting station is at ul. Dojazd 1 in Jędrzejów. The 2026 fare lists PLN 46 for a standard ticket and PLN 36 for a concession ticket; check the current price and availability before buying. Individual tickets are released in advance on the official website, and any remaining seats may be sold at the railway office before departure. Contact: 695 592 836, ciuchciaponidzie@pk.kielce.pl. Do not assume the train goes to Pińczów without confirmation: the current offer may cover a different section.
