Hajnówka Water Park

After a day in the Białowieża Forest, especially in winter, warm water comes in handy. Hajnówka Water Park, opened in December 2009, is a municipal complex with a 25-metre sports pool, a leisure pool with a lazy river and wave machine, two slides, saunas and a brine graduation tower. It is not a giant water park, but a well-equipped town pool that makes a good addition to a trip to the forest.

What you'll find

• Sports pool, 25 m long, with six lanes and stands for 219 spectators; thanks to the seating and the announcer's room it hosts swimming competitions.
• Leisure pool with two learner lanes, a lazy river, a wave-making ball, a counter-current, an underwater geyser, bench, wall and neck massage jets and a jacuzzi.
• Two slides: a small indoor one and a large outdoor spiral slide; according to the operator, their combined length is 132 m.
• Dry sauna and steam room, plus a brine graduation tower – an inhalation wall where salty water trickles over twigs – with separate sessions.
• A café in the main hall.

The operator also runs aqua fitness, "Healthy Spine" classes, swimming lessons for children and adults, and a course called "Wyderki" (Little Otters) for babies and children up to 3. Lanes can be booked online.

Hours and tickets (as of October 2026)

The water park is open daily 10:00–21:45. Prices according to the operator's price list:

• Weekdays (Mon–Fri): standard ticket PLN 18 for one hour or PLN 31 for two; reduced PLN 15 and PLN 26.
• Weekends, public holidays and every day from 1 July to 31 August: standard PLN 20 and PLN 36; reduced PLN 17 and PLN 30.
• Family ticket (2.5 hours, up to 5 people: two adults and three people entitled to a reduced fare): PLN 122 on weekdays, PLN 146 at weekends.
• Senior 60+ (1.5 hours): PLN 18 on weekdays, PLN 22 at weekends.
• If you overstay, you pay per minute, from PLN 0.25 to PLN 0.33 depending on the ticket and day.
• Graduation tower: single ticket PLN 10 for 45 minutes.

Reduced tickets apply, among others, to pre-school and school children and to pupils and students up to 26 with a valid ID. The dry sauna and steam room are included in the ticket from Monday to Friday between 15:30 and 21:45, and all day at weekends. Your time starts when you pass the turnstile.

Getting there and nearby

The pool is at ul. 3 Maja 50. From Hajnówka it is about 18 km to Białowieża, about 62 km to Białystok via Narew and 27 km to Bielsk Podlaski. The pool fits well into a forest day: a morning walk in Białowieża National Park or a ride on the narrow-gauge railway, and a swim in the afternoon. The town also has the Museum and Centre of Belarusian Culture, and every May it hosts a festival of Orthodox church music.

Tripto tip

Swimming and the slides usually take 1–2 hours, so with children the two-hour ticket is a safer bet than the one-hour one. If you want the sauna on a weekday, come after 15:30, when it is included in the ticket. In summer the higher weekend prices apply every day, and the operator closes the pool from time to time for maintenance – notices appear in the news section of its website.
