Adventure and Attractions Park in Wilkowice

Camels, antelopes, ostriches and meerkats a few kilometres from Tarnowskie Góry: the Adventure and Attractions Park in Wilkowice (Zbrosławice municipality) combines a small zoo, large playgrounds and a place to relax by the ponds. It covers several hectares within a family entertainment centre, next to the Alele indoor play hall, the Pod Platanami restaurant and the Preria riding centre. It makes a good long afternoon out with children and is open seasonally from April to October.

A zoo in two zones

The park zoo is split into two parts. The first is home to small animals: meerkats, monkeys, lemurs, porcupines, rabbits and guinea pigs. Beyond the ponds lies the new zoo, whose first section, on an area of around 6 ha, opened in August 2015. Its enclosures hold camels, antelopes, ostriches, llamas, alpacas and raccoons, among others. A large part of the complex is also given over to a red and fallow deer enclosure, which you can watch from a special viewing platform.

Playgrounds and activity zones

• "Mysterious Crocodile" – a wooden playground shaped like a crocodile, opened in the 2020 season.
• An interactive sandpit from June 2019 and a creative play zone.
• A six-station trampoline, an XXL maze, a Ferris-style wheel and the "Stilt Hedgehog" made of 60 posts.
• A children's rope course and a barefoot trail.
• For older visitors: beach volleyball and badminton courts, an outdoor gym, a mini beach and a brine graduation tower.

Palace and park in the background

The complex lies next to Wilkowice Palace, built in the 18th century by the Larisch family and bought and extended in the late 19th century by the Henckel von Donnersmarck family. The palace is surrounded by a 19th-century landscape park. To the right of the main entrance grows a plane tree protected as a natural monument, which gave its name to the nearby restaurant. The park has a large fountain and a decorative stream, and there are two stocked ponds within the complex.

The park is at ul. Księżoleśna 1 in Wilkowice. There is a grill bar on site, and throughout the centre you can pay in cash, by card or with BLIK. Free-living animals inhabit the grounds, so dogs are not allowed. Check current opening hours and ticket prices before you go, as they depend on the season. Allow at least 3–4 hours for the zoo and play areas.
