Sławutowo Slavic Settlement

On the edge of the Darżlubska Forest, in Sławutowo near Puck, a village of the early Slavs from the turn of the 9th and 10th centuries has been recreated. The settlement has eight wooden huts that show how people lived and worked a thousand years ago. Instead of looking at exhibits from behind a rope, you shape clay pots, bake flatbreads and weave, which makes it a good break from the beaches of Puck Bay, especially with children.

A medieval village from scratch

The owners now describe Sławutowo as a Park of Pomeranian and Kashubian Culture and Tradition, a short drive from Władysławowo, Puck and the Tricity. Visits are guided, and the guides talk about the daily life of the early inhabitants of Pomerania and Kashubia. The huts hold tools and equipment from craftsmen's workshops, and there is also a burial mound showing how people were buried centuries ago. The ticket includes a family outdoor game, a wooden maze full of puzzles, a woodland playground and contact with animals.

• Amber – your own amber ornament and the story of the stone.
• Baking, "from grain to flatbread".
• Weaving and felting, and leather decoration with runes and old patterns.
• Glass painting in the Kashubian tradition and "Krôsniąta" sessions about Kashubian dwarfs.

Did you know?

The settlement follows the Slavic calendar. In 2025 it hosted a Kupala day (June), a day devoted to Perun, the god of thunder (July), and a re-enactment of the Dziady rite for the dead (18 October). The house speciality is flatbread baked in front of guests and served warm. Mind the names: less than a kilometre away there is a separate attraction, the Pomeranian Medieval Settlement "Sławny Gród".

Tripto tips

The settlement is at ul. Wejherowska 76 in Sławutowo (Puck municipality). According to the official information it opens daily 10:00–18:00 in July and August; in May and June it is open 10:00–14:00 on weekdays and 10:00–18:00 at weekends. From 23 September to 31 October it only takes booked groups, and from November to April it is closed. The 2025 price list gave PLN 39 for a standard ticket, PLN 29 reduced, PLN 146 for a family ticket (2+3) and PLN 20 per person for workshops; children under 3 go free. Cards are accepted and pets are welcome. Allow 2–3 hours for a visit with one workshop.
