Marina in Puck

Puck has a harbour that joins three worlds: the historic fishing basin, the yachting regatta port and a new marina that welcomed its first sailors in July 2023. They all lie on the Bay of Puck in the very centre of the town, by Żeglarzy Street and Aleja Lipowa — 180 berths in total: 98 in the new marina, 66 in the yacht harbour and 16 in the fishing one.

History by the water

By the fishing basin stands the wedding pillar commemorating the 1920 ceremony of Poland's Wedding to the Sea, attended by General Józef Haller. The port also lives its own traditions: every year on 28 June fishermen sail here for the Maritime Pilgrimage of Fishermen after mass in Kuźnica. By the quays operates the Puck Scouting Maritime Centre with a fleet of keel, dinghy and motor yachts and a boatbuilding hall.

Infrastructure and practice

The marina accepts vessels up to 20 m in hull length and 2.8 m draft; from the west it is sheltered by a 190-metre promenade pier, from the east by a 180-metre breakwater, and the entrance is 30 m wide. Depths in the fishing basin reach 2.5–3.5 m, and the three quays total 181 m. The port regularly hosts national, European and world regattas. Around it have grown restaurants, a promenade and a pier, and a few hundred metres further awaits the Gothic parish church of Sts Peter and Paul and the beaches of the Coastal Landscape Park.
