Koskowa Góra

Koskowa Góra is a peak in the Maków Beskids, also known as the Middle Beskids, between the Raba and Skawa valleys. At about 866 metres above sea level, it is the highest point of the Koskowa Góra range and of the Tokarnia municipality. The summit lies near Bogdanówka, and open sections of the ridge offer broad views towards the Maków Beskids, Island Beskids, Gorce and Żywiec Beskids, with the Tatras visible in good conditions.

A scenic summit

Koskowa Góra is not a rocky high-mountain peak. Its open summit dome is partly overgrown, so the panorama varies with the exact viewpoint and season. A telecommunications mast stands on the northern slope, but the ridge still has wide openings with views. A small chapel and a trail junction are located near the summit.

Trails and planning

Marked routes reach Koskowa Góra from several directions. You can follow the yellow trail through the Kotoń range and Parszywka towards Bogdanówka, or choose a route from Bieńkówka, Jordanów or Maków Podhalański. Distance and walking time depend on the variant, so check the current PTTK map, elevation profile and trailhead before setting out.

Before you go

This is an outdoor summit with no opening hours or resort-style facilities. The summit and trails can be slippery after rain, while winter conditions require suitable equipment and an honest assessment of the route. Start from a legal parking place, do not drive onto farm tracks without permission and respect private properties around Bogdanówka. Check the weather, trail notices and current waymarking before travelling.
