Elka Cableway

The Elka Cableway runs above Silesian Park and offers a pleasant way to connect several major attractions in Chorzów. Its routes include the section between Silesian Stadium and the amusement park, as well as the section between the amusement park and the Silesian Planetarium. From the cabins, the park’s paths and greenery look completely different.

Planning the ride

Elka tickets cover one, two or four directions. You can use the cableway for a short scenic ride, travel between stations or as part of a full day in Silesian Park. Check the map and current timetable before visiting, because individual sections may be temporarily closed for technical work.

Rules and tickets

Individual tickets are available online, while family, group, combined and selected special tickets are sold at the stations. The final ride leaves 15 minutes before the cableway closes. Children under 125 cm may travel only in a gondola, and visitors under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Check the current regulations before setting off.

Practical information

Elka works well for a family outing, photography and a relaxed break above the park. Combine it with Silesian Stadium, the amusement park, the Planetarium or the zoo. Operating hours and route availability change, so check the Silesian Park website on the day of your visit. Allow 1–2 hours for a full ride and a short walk.
