Amusement parks
In the heart of Silesian Park — the green lungs of Upper Silesia covering around 535 hectares, one of the largest urban parks in Europe — on Dojazdowa alley, right behind the Legendia amusement park, operates the Silesia Rope Park. Since 2007 it has drawn height enthusiasts: 26 wooden poles support three routes of varying difficulty, suspended several metres above the ground.
There are three paths to choose from. The easiest was designed for children taking their first steps among ropes. The hardest is — according to the operator — among the most difficult rope courses in Poland, so it will also satisfy experienced challenge seekers. The obstacles are ropes and beams suspended above the ground, and participants move in safety harnesses.
The park operates in the season from May to October, daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; from November to February the grounds are open exclusively to organised groups. The location on the border of Chorzów and Katowice, next to Legendia, makes it easy to combine a visit with the other attractions of the conurbation.
