The Manor House in Żytno

The manor and historic park

Dwór w Żytnie is a Classical residence built in 1819 for the Siemieński family of the Leszczyc coat of arms. It stands at 92 Konopnicka Street in Łódź Voivodeship, about 45 km from Częstochowa and 35 km from the A1 motorway. Its façade is marked by a four-column Doric portico, while the complex also includes a nearly four-hectare historic park. The manor and park are listed in the heritage register.

History and present-day use

In the 19th century and early 20th century, the manor was a country-house social salon. According to the venue’s own information, guests included Henryk Sienkiewicz, Jacek Malczewski, Blessed Wanda Malczewska and members of General Władysław Anders’s family. After a comprehensive reconstruction, the building retained its historic character, but it is not a conventional museum. The restored interiors now accommodate a boutique hotel, restaurant and café, wellness facilities, and spaces for receptions and conferences.

Visiting and planning

Dwór w Żytnie is primarily an operating hotel and restaurant, not a free museum attraction. The interiors and park are connected with the venue’s services, so before travelling confirm whether visitors not using accommodation or an event may enter.
