Zoos
Kraków Zoo is set in Las Wolski, so a visit combines animals with a walk through one of the city’s greenest areas. Around 1,500 animals representing more than 270 species live across 20 hectares, including over 100 threatened species.
This is not a 30-minute stop. The zoo is large, and the official guidance recommends allowing more than an hour; families will usually need several hours. Alongside the outdoor enclosures, check the indoor pavilions and the current schedule of feedings or new displays.
The zoo is open every day all year. From 1 April to 31 October, admission is PLN 48 full price, PLN 40 reduced and PLN 160 for a 2+2 family ticket. From 1 November to 31 March, the prices are PLN 40, PLN 34 and PLN 132. The main ticket office is open 09:00–17:30 and visiting is possible until 18:30; check the official notice before travelling because seasonal hours may change.
Tripto tip: arrive early and choose a few pavilions you really want to see. The walk will feel relaxed instead of turning into a race against closing time.
