Kraków Water Park

The Kraków Water Park at 126 Dobrego Pasterza Street in Mistrzejowice is one of the largest indoor aquaparks in Poland and Europe. Construction began in April 1999 and was completed in just 13 months; the opening took place on 10 June 2000, and the investment cost 100 million zlotys. The wooden trusses of the hall were considered the largest in Europe at the opening, and the complex won the title of Construction of the Year 2000.

Pools and slides

Three pools totalling 2,000 square metres are served by ten slides with a combined length of over 800 metres; the longest measures 202 metres. After the 2015 modernisation the outdoor zone consists of the Congo pontoon tube of about 165 m, the fast Nitro (106 m, ages 14 and up) and the multimedia Twister (132 m) and Speed Fire (155 m). The pool water is ozonated in full and kept at 29–30°C.

Relaxation and practicalities

Eight jacuzzi tubs are filled with brine at 34–37°C; there are water jets, a wild river, counter-current lanes and the Pirate Island for children. A separate zone is the sauna area — from Finnish and salt to herbal saunas — available from age 16 on a separate ticket. In summer the Stacja Parkowa, an outdoor recreation zone with a beach, opens. The facility stands about 2.5 km north of the Main Market Square, next to a shopping centre, so getting there by public transport is easy.
