Kraków Water Park

The Kraków Water Park (Park Wodny, say "PARK VOD-nee") is the city's big indoor aquapark, open since 2000 in the Mistrzejowice district, about 2.5 km north of the Main Market Square. Under a striking timber roof you'll find pools, a lazy river, water slides and brine hot tubs, plus a large sauna area. On a cold or wet day it is one of the best things to do in Kraków with kids, and a relaxing break from the Old Town, Wawel and Wieliczka.

Getting there

The park is at Dobrego Pasterza 126, next to the Serenada and Krokus shopping malls, so it is easy to reach by city tram or bus from the center; check routes on the Kraków public transport planner. There is on-site parking (rules on the operator's website). Kraków Airport is roughly 20 km away, and nearby you'll find the Tauron Arena, the COGITEON science center and the Hotel Swing.

A record-breaking build

Construction began in April 1999 and took just 13 months: the park opened on June 10, 2000, at a cost of about PLN 100 million. Its timber roof trusses were considered the largest in Europe at the time, and the building won Poland's "Construction of the Year 2000" award. The outdoor slides were rebuilt in 2015.

What's inside

According to the operator, the pool hall covers more than 2,000 m², and 8 slides add up to about 800 m (older sources count ten). The water is kept at 29–32°C (84–90°F). Highlights:

• 4 outdoor slides, including the Kongo raft slide and the fast Nitro (14+),
• the indoor Mamba raft slide and the Alligator and Yellow Snake slide,
• a lazy river, hydromassage benches and water jets,
• 8 brine hot tubs,
• a toddler pool with Pirate Island,
• swimming lanes, climbing walls and a swim-up bar.

The Saunarium

There are around ten saunas: a dry sauna with ceremonies, a Roman-style "sea bath" steam room, an Eastern-style banya, a fire sauna above 100°C, herbal, cedar and salt saunas and an infrared cabin, plus a cold tub, ice well and brine mist zone. Access is 16+, except on weekends from 8 a.m. to noon, when families with children aged 6 and up can use it.

Opening hours and tickets (as of October 2026)

The water park and Saunarium are open daily 8 a.m.–10 p.m. Prices in Polish złoty (PLN), the same every day:

• Pool hall: PLN 58 for 1 hour, PLN 75 for 2 hours, PLN 113 unlimited (online); reduced PLN 53/70/103. An early-bird hour bought 8–9 a.m. costs PLN 46.
• Family ticket (two adults and a child): PLN 159/210/309; each extra child PLN 53/70/103.
• Pool + Saunarium (16+): PLN 70/85/139.
• Ten minutes' grace for changing, then PLN 1 per minute. Towel rental costs PLN 50, so bring your own.

In summer, the Stacja Parkowa beach zone opens outside, with separate tickets.

Is it worth visiting?

Yes, especially with children or in winter. Allow two to three hours; the unlimited ticket only pays off for a longer stay.
