Star Wars Museum in Witaszyce

In Witaszyce near Jarocin, an 18th-century manor house neighbouring a neo-baroque palace from 1899 houses the largest private Star Wars collection in Poland. Assembled by the owner of the palace, it numbers around 1,000 exhibits — from small figurines to life-size characters such as the droid R2-D2, Darth Maul and stormtroopers. A separate group consists of objects built from Lego bricks, and the figures come from all live-action and animated parts of the series. The scenery is inventive and carefully arranged, which is appreciated above all by families with children and saga fans.

A second museum under the same roof

Sharing the roof with the space collection is the only Napoleonic Museum in Poland, with dioramas of battles — a combination hard to find anywhere else. The Witaszyce palace itself was built in 1899 to a design by the architect Ludwig Otte for the von Ohnesorge family; the history of the village goes back to the 14th century, when it was a settlement belonging to the estates of the bishops of Poznań.

Practical information

Visits take place between 12:00 and 16:00, the ticket costs PLN 10, and discounts are available for groups. The collection is located at Aleja Wolności in Witaszyce, in the Jarocin county. The same venue also hosts Star-Wars-themed team events for smaller and larger groups.
